The Week in Review

Hellooooo! Oh heavens, thank goodness it's Saturday. I don't know about you but my week went too fast and too slow, all at the same time. It was just kind of...eh. Like I didn't have enough hours in the day but I also wanted it all to be over so I could just chill and play with my cat and watch Netflix documentaries. Ya know what I mean? Pretty sure this is called a "funk." And I am in it.

So anywho... Monday was a blur of teaching then finishing some grad school work for the week. I did make a magically delicious quinoa and kale dish that I ate for lunch (and dinner once) all week. I can't stress enough how important having something tasty and healthy ready to go will help you make better choices when you're starving and are tempted by the chips or candy sitting in the pantry. I think I'll post the recipe this week because I plan on making a huge batch AGAIN for lunches (I'm a little obsessed).

I was diggin' the color combo of my OOTD too that day. The orange-red with tan, charcoal and a few gold accents was fun without being overly crazy. And those darling bow flats? On sale for $8. Pretty sure you'll be seeing these cuties a lot come spring.

Tuesday I just had work meetings (a.k.a. sitting for 4+ hours) so I went for comfy and warm but cute. This grey sweater has become one of my fave go-to pieces because it's so versatile and soft. Like wearing a blankie. Sorry, you're gonna see it A LOT. Also those boots cuz well, look at em.

Oh, Kris and I finally had a mini-date night at our fave local spot, COA. It's probably the best fresh, authentic Mexican food I've had... anywhere. Absolutely everything on the menu is delish, and nothing is ever bogged down by mounds of fatty cheese or sour cream (like some restaurants). It IS possible to eat out without derailing your healthy eating plans! This time I got fish tacos (killer) and Kris had the chicken enchiladas with mole (also killer). We dove in before I could get a good picture.. it's that good.

Wednesday was back to teaching. I got dressed half in the dark, so I didn't realize until later that my scarf and sweater were two different shades of white. It happens! That sweater is actually lovely in person, but I don't think it photographs well. Eh. Whatevs.

Also, Bonne Bell is still alive and kickin'! I had no idea, did you? They actually have a full makeup line and nail stuff and everything. Mind. Blown. The question is, can I still find white sparkly vanilla cupcake lipgloss? My 12 year old self needs it.

Thursday's outfit was pretty basic and black, but I added these fun socks to give it a little pop of color. I got lots of compliments on them, so yay! Still can't stop wearing those boots.

Friday I actually had time to run errands, do some housework and grocery shop. Not a very exciting look, but really who dresses up to run errands? Be thankful I'm not in yoga pants. And of course, reppin' my team ;)
